Practical Books On Practical Magick

The list of books below represent those I have found to server as eminently practical tomes on magick. They are about how to actually do things.

  • The Sorcerer's Secrets: Strategies in Practical Magic by Jason Miller

This book has some of the best sections on meditation/breathing/visualization that I have read. It also contains chapters on the modern Abramelin process as well as an abbreviated ritual for using the Goetia. The last few chapters are about becoming a professional spellworker and are well worth the price of admission.

  • Advanced Magick for Beginners by Alan Chapman

This book has many interesting takes on magick practices as well as ably breaking down many processes. Please see my blog post for a more in-depth review.

  • The Goetia of Dr. Rudd by Stephen Skinner

The newest work containing the writing of Dr. Rudd, this Goetic tome contains an entirely separate section which explains the use of the 72 Angels of  Shem ha-Mephorash in the binding of the traditional 72 Goetic demons.
